A concern for peace

Helen Roberts, our PaxCat Project Archivist, catalogued the archive of the Quaker Peace Studies Trust this summer.  The Trust was set up to raise funds to establish the study of peace and conflict resolution in British universities, and thus “is closely bound up with the creation and development of the Peace Studies Department at Bradford”.

Helen reflected on the project and discussed the contents of the archive in an article published in “The Friend” 6 August 2010 and also available online.  She concluded that in the longer term, the archive would prove a valuable “source for studying how peace came to be accepted as an academic subject area”.
