Architects and activists on the Hub

Alongside Helen’s detailed work on the archives of 1950s-60s nuclear disarmament and 1980s peace camps, as described in this blog, other Special Collections staff are examining and cataloguing the many other Commonweal Archives as part of the PaxCat Project.  These new collection descriptions will be added to the Archives Hub.

Latest additions to the Hub, both from the 1980s: Architects for Peace. UK group, particularly interested in the issues around nuclear shelters.

Bradford Peace Action Group.  Set up by Bradford Council when the city was declared a nuclear-free zone to monitor zone progress, link with other peace groups, and develop peace education in West Yorkshire.
